XRP Ledger Weekly Data Report — Week of August 31–September 6, 2026

How to read this report

Every metric below carries its source and its snapshot date, and we do not publish figures we cannot trace to a public source. This edition was revised on September 14, 2026 under our fully sourced data policy. Note on the boundary: several series (the daily ETF prints, the September RLUSD compilation, the early-September price prints) were finalized in coverage dated after this week; they are included with their actual reading dates, because a report that omitted verified data to keep every date inside the calendar week would be less accurate, not more.

1. Market metrics

#MetricValueContext / changeSource, date
1XRP price~$1.38 (Aug 31) → low $1.40s bookendA quiet grind: roughly +2–4% on the week (calculated from sourced bookends; the daily closes between are not independently published); the $1.30 shelf untouchedYellow.com, Aug 31–Sep 1; Yahoo-derived, Sep 8
2Market capitalization≈$87–89B across the week's range (calculated)$1.38–$1.44 × ~62.74B circulating (market-data basis)Calculated from Yellow.com price × CoinGabbar supply (Sep 3)
3Distance from all-time high−62.2% to −60.5% (calculated)From the $3.65 ATH (CoinGecko, Jul 2025) across the week's rangeCalculated
4Year-to-dateDown roughly a quarter (calculated)Against the year's opening print; August's +28% recovered part of a deep YTD drawdownCalculated; YTD framing per Yahoo-derived coverage
5Streak arithmetic11 sessions, +~$170M; final two sessions ≈+$16.5M (calculated)The streak's ledger reconciles: $43.06M (Aug 18–21) + $110.49M (Aug 24–28) + the two September sessionsCalculated from SoSoValue published windows

The tape story of the week is a holding pattern with a heartbeat: the fund complex added ≈+$15.4M while price gave up nothing. After a month in which records and crashes shared a calendar, the divergence stopped widening — the precondition for it resolving in either direction.

2. Supply & escrow

Why two circulating-supply numbers: market-data aggregators apply Ripple's distribution-API methodology to the ledger's raw activated supply; market caps are computed against the estimate. Both are real; they measure different things.

3. Network activity

#MetricValueContext / changeSource, date

Omitted this week: no weekly active-address series specific to August 31–September 6 was published in the sources used here, so rows 12–14 carry the latest sourced (August) readings. September's later compilations frame the mix: 2.4M daily transactions (+21% YoY) against ~40% fewer active accounts year-over-year, with DEX volume +79% YoY (crypto.news) — more activity from fewer transactors, the concentration signature.

4. RLUSD stablecoin

#MetricValueContext / changeSource, date

19Holders & activity84,630 holders; 1.39M monthly transfers; $11.81B transfer volume (+17% MoM); 8,252 active addresses (−25.2% MoM)Volume up, addresses down — concentration, the wholesale profile. The latest sourced holder print; no in-week update publishedRWA.xyz via Crypto Times, Aug 25
20Treasury operations15M (Aug 29); 20M/19.94M/19.99M ETH + 19.9M XRPL (Aug 30); paired 11M mint/burn (Aug 31)The paired op is calibration, not growthRipple Stablecoin Tracker via COINOTAG, Aug 29–31

Item 19's contradiction remains the stablecoin's most honest datapoint: transfer volume rising 17% while active addresses fell 25% describes a wholesale asset getting more concentrated — fewer, larger participants moving more each. The $2.02B → $2.32B drift between prints is issuance compounding, not appreciation; a $1-pegged token's market cap only moves when supply does.

5. ETF flows & derivatives

Why the weekly flow is a calculated figure: the daily prints for August 31 and September 1 were not published as standalone daily rows in the sources used here; they are derived from the streak's +~$170M total minus the published monthly windows. Every other session in the week carries a direct print.

Sentiment & the week ahead

The week closes with the decision stack loaded: the Senate's CLARITY cloture vote September 15 (60 votes, House breaking September 17), the Fed's September 16 decision, and a CPI print between them (CoinGabbar). The market enters it with a clean position — a fund complex that just printed its best month ever (~$159.2M) and survived its streak's end with a $7.2M outflow, against a token grinding the low $1.40s, down roughly a quarter on the year. The divergence resolves from whichever side breaks first: the flow side or the price side.

FAQ

Why is this week's ETF flow a calculated figure?

The August 31 and September 1 daily prints were not published as standalone rows in the sources used here. They are derived from the streak's +~$170M total minus the published windows ($153.55M through Aug 28, the record week $110.49M). The week's other sessions — −$7.20M Sep 2, +$6.14M Sep 3, flat Sep 4 — are direct prints.

Why do circulating supply and market cap sources disagree?

They measure different bases: CoinGabbar's 62.74B (Sep 3) applies the aggregator methodology; XRPScan's 67.53B (Jul 26) is raw activated ledger supply. Market caps are computed against the estimate. Both are published with dates.

Why are the escrow and burn snapshots dated July 26?

Because that is the most recent community-verified XRPScan snapshot cited in our sources for those series. We print the date rather than refresh an unverifiable number — a stale verified figure is worth more than a fresh invented one.

Is RLUSD still above $2B?

Yes, by the sourced prints: $2.02B at the August 25 crossing and $2.32B in September's compilation (RWA.xyz via Crypto Times and crypto.news), with the XRPL side above $1B since August 28 and no visible redemption event between.

Is this financial advice?

No. XRPLinsights publishes research and commentary for informational purposes. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell XRP or any other asset.
